GradeA FAQ > Merging data with the iOS Attendance app > How does the iOS Attendance and GradeA data match up and what are the options for resolving conflicts?

Search the FAQ for entries containing:

Students are matched using the ID field so you must enter the same value for the student ID in both GradeA and Attendance. Dates are matched by the date and time so you must use the exact same date AND time for dates to merge correctly. The statuses are matched by the status name.

After merging, you will receive a conflict dialog if the data has been changed (e.g., you changed the first name to a nick name, you locked a date on one application, changed the status for a student for a day, etc.) in either GradeA or Attendance, but not the other. A dialog is displayed for the first conflict and you are asked which way to copy the data. You will be asked if you want to "Copy Attendance data" (copy data from Attendance to GradeA) or "Copy GradeA data" (copy data from GradeA to Attendance). There are also options to copy all conflicting data in either direction (i.e., use the selected copy direction to copy any remaining conflicts instead of prompting for each remaining conflict).
