This video will show you how to get your attend.db file from your iOS device to your Mac so you can use GradeA to add students to an iOS Attendance course. The full version of GradeA is available in the Mac App Store for $15 while the free demo version is available on my website dave256 apps dot com. The free demo version limits you to five students, five assessments, and five dates, but can be used to add more than five students to your iOS Attendance course. There are two ways to get your attend.db file onto your Mac. The simplest is to use Dropbox if you have a Dropbox account (or you can create a free Dropbox account if you do not already have one). There is a referral link on my website that will get us each some extra free space when you create your Dropbox account if you want to use that. Launch Attendance on your iOS device, go to the Add/View tab and choose Backup to Dropbox/Attendance. Next, press the Save to Attendance/attend.db button. This will store your attend.db file in your Dropbox account. You will be asked to enter your Dropbox password the first time you use Dropbox with the Attendance app. The other option is to email yourself the attend.db file. To email it, launch the iOS's Settings app, scroll down to the Attendance section, turn on the option to email the database. Then launch the Attendance app and email the Spreadsheet report. This will also attach the attend.db file which contains all the Attendance data except the photos.
